# Lecture 3: Introduction to Kernels

The python scripts to reproduce the experiments in the lecture:

In order to get the python scripts to run you need to install the SHOGUN software package. Please use the new alpha version and let us know when you have any problems. Hints: use "./configure --enable-python --enable-swig --python=2.4 --prefix=~/shogun_package" with swig version >= 1.3.24, scipy-core and matplotlib installed.

Additionally there are a few matlab scripts that were used to generate the splice site recognition results on the slides:

- tutorial_data.mat (splice site data from C. elegans)

In order to get the matlab to run you need to install the SHOGUN software package. Hints: use "./configure --enable-matlab" with matlab version >=7).
